Project "History for a Warrior"


Among the activities of the All-Ukrainian Public Association "Warriors of Good" is the provision of material and moral support to those who are on the front line. As part of this assistance, on December 23-25, 2016, a lecture "History for a Warrior" was organized with the participation of Krivokony O.G. and students - graduates of the Kiev National University named after. T.G. Shevchenko Namely, a number of activities were devoted to the history of Ukraine of different periods: Kievan Rus, the Galician-Volyn state and Zaporizhzhya Sich.


Significant interest in the fighters was caused by questions related to the victories of Ukrainians or the reasons for their defeats. There were also controversial points about Ukrainian armament, strategy and tactics of military operations and internal political conflicts and intrigues. Among the fighters were experts in the history of Ukraine, who developed and supported the initiated discussion.


The given lecture was conducted for fighters 92 OMBr. This experience was very successful for all the participants of the action.

 

The further spread of the initiative was already on November 24-26, 2017, when the All-Ukrainian national-patriotic movement "History for a Warrior" was held in Zaporizhzhia on the island of Khortytsya.

The participants of the project have lectured on the history of Ukraine to fighters of the 55th separate artillery brigade. Educational event was organized by students and post-graduate students of the historical faculty of the Kiev National University named after. Taras Shevchenko, teachers of the Zaporizhzhya National University, representatives of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Warriors of Good", the initiative group "History for the warrior", the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Office of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration.

 

More than 50 people from 15 regions of Ukraine, primarily historians, devoted their activities to studying the issues of the national-patriotic movement in Ukraine and the emergence and development of Ukrainian statehood took part in the event. Among the lecturers were D.Sc., prof., Dean of the historical faculty of ZNU, V. Milchev, D.Sc., prof. Turchenko F.G., D.Sc. Krivokon O.G. and other.
